Pakistan's FM Holds Talks with Saudi Counterpart Over US-Iran Deal
In his conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the two officials reviewed regional developments and bilateral cooperation, with the Washington-Tehran diplomatic track at the center of discussions, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said.
Both ministers welcomed the talks entering their concluding phase, with an electronic signing ceremony anticipated as early as Sunday, and expressed optimism that the breakthrough would lay the groundwork for enduring peace, stability and dialogue across the Middle East.
Prince Faisal also acknowledged Pakistan's sustained role as a mediator and diplomatic bridge throughout the negotiations, the ministry added.
The two sides further discussed preparations for the upcoming Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers' meeting, set to convene in Egypt later this month.

In a separate call with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, both ministers welcomed the "encouraging progress" toward a US-Iran understanding and expressed hope that continued diplomatic momentum would advance regional peace and stability. Media reports citing sources have suggested Geneva as a potential venue for the signing ceremony.
— Pakistan's Mediation Role
The flurry of diplomatic contacts reflects Islamabad's deepening involvement in shepherding the agreement toward completion. Pakistan brokered a ceasefire in the US-Israeli war on Iran in April and has since maintained an active channel of consultations with key regional and international stakeholders, working toward a permanent resolution to the conflict that has reverberated across the entire Middle East.
